If you're on a budget and don't require a stroller that can double as a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed to a stroller by 6 months using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be converted from a stroller to an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their adventure. The wagon is able to accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that will hold everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend like other wagons we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are seeking a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to carry infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a carrycot and seat in just only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the bumps of everyday life well and slid through doors without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also rotate. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed to be a bit rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. But they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain and it's easy to move, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods which get turned back into toddlers' faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from the infant's first days until. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with a suspension system built-in that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam, which reduces punctures. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs, or in the car's boot. The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face one another or turn around and face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling rivalries over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automatic frame lock as well as a compact single fold pushchair.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents who love to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type that is found on other models.

The seat is well-padded and has a wide area to sit, but the depth of the seat is not as deep as other joggers that we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of infant car seats and bassinets, but you can use them starting from the first day using adapters that work with brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and includes multiple languages.
