Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

A specific item can be used to evolve specific Pokemon. The upgrade is made by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be found in weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade items costs Flightstones or crests based on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to increase attribute bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. The equipment that is upgraded must have an available upgrade slot that can accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be at an amount. Certain upgrade items come with special effects that are visible when they are applied. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma traders or traded with other players on the Trading Post, salvaged from equipment, or acquired as rewards in games.

Various upgrade components are available, each providing various bonuses. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions can be applied to any type of equipment. They offer fewer bonuses than the other types of upgrade items component. Infusions can be found in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enhancements are used to upgrade certain ascended back items. Inserting an upgrade component can destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the item's hover display, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an equipment piece will be visible in the tooltip of the item Upgrader Kit.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and useful elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments, as well as registered trademark symbols, ellipses and swashes as well as swashes. Once a Glyph reaches level 15 it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph has been upgraded to its desired level, you can activate it by selecting it, then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and increase the number of nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses if certain conditions can be satisfied.

If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of views. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option beneath "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs; Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling
