Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

item upgrade (Check This Out), commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives a linear increase in any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats on your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways, including by using upgrade items components or increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their stats.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout the world as well as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. The main way to upgrade gear is through the use of upgrade components, which are items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade and some require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer general bonuses.

There are a variety of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be put in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools, and provide a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The window will show a preview on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, as well as any materials or components required. If you do not have enough of either the upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The number of upgrade components needed for a given item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level and rarity of the item. However you can cut down on this cost by purchasing upgrades from a seller or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded by the use of a prefix upgrade items like an insignia, or a rune, and many can be upgraded using suffix upgrades. These upgrades alter the name of the item and add an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful tool to communicate visual information. They are animated to grab the viewer's eye and entice curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language, making them more effective in conveying an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values that it can improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is the maximum value that a glyph could enhance a stat by but not the amount it actually increases the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the item you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items can't be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to another piece of gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item you must salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will destroy the item that it was installed in but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards therefore it should not be considered as a loss.

The addition of a glyph to an item could cause it to become unstable, and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you dismantle the item upgrades. You can also apply a glyph to your equipment to give it a bonus. For example, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly rather than all at once. This is helpful for players who suffer many hits from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes on equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from various sources, including mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an unspecified affix, which is usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can be used to boost the weapon's stats to increase damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level. Therefore, higher-leveled items are more valuable for recycling than those with lower levels.

In addition to tokens for rerolls, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower, the weapon remains the same. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It would be fairer to allow players to pay for it with cash or food items which allows players to make changes to their builds without spending excessive amounts of time. However the paid rerolls aren't something that the developers would like to implement at this point in the game's development. They're planning to include a potion that will allow players to alter their race in the future.

Leveling

There are several ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade that increases the value of upgrading any stat. The second option is to boost the effect of an upgrade, which boosts the damage or healing of an individual stat. Additionally, there is the ability to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed. In the majority of cases, a better roll is based on the glyphs. However, there are times when a greater or special roll can occur.
