Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

To unlock the windows you need to press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, if there is one. After you've finished using the vehicle, you can shut all the windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

You can also activate the panic alarm in your car using the key fob. It will emit an alarm that is loud and attention-grabbing that could frighten away thieves and allow you to return home in peace after a night out. This feature is helpful should you live in a dangerous neighborhood or want to secure your family while they are away.

Opening the Tailgate

Volvo's key fob is stuffed with many useful features. These are perfect when you're busy shopping for shopping or helping your kids load up their sports gear after practice.

For example, if you have the available Hands-Free Power Liftgate with logo projection and programmable height (if equipped) you can open it using the key fob. Simply press the button open it, and then press the same button to close it once you're done.

When you're ready to start your vehicle then use the key fob to press the START button (and do not worry about your battery dying or your car not starting because it comes with a backup mechanical key slot too). This is just one of the many tricks that can be useful for your new Volvo.
