Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

It's easy to move around with a lightweight double pram buggy pushchair, particularly if you have children of different age groups. They are easy to fold, steer and transport up and over steps.

The majority of the light double pushchairs we tried were side-by-side models. Although they're lightweight double pushchairs that sit side-by-side are not foolproof. If your children are at the same age and stage, they might be fighting over who gets to sit in which spot. If they are at different heights, the tandem model could be best for them, as it lets them face each other.

Tandem

While side-by-side models are best suitable for siblings of similar ages, tandem lightweight double strollers have their own charms. Some can fit an extra car seat, while others have Reversible seats. Others even have an extra carrycot or a reclined seat that can be flipped in the middle. They are larger, and easier to get into and out of. However, their baskets tend to be smaller than the ones found on single buggies. However, the mechanism to attach and remove the carrycot is quick and easy.

Tandem double pushchairs are light and lightweight. They typically make tighter turns than side-by-side models however, they can be more difficult to drive on uneven surfaces and curbs. They can also be slower to accelerate and more heavy to move. This can put stress on your back.

Another option is a convertible double running buggy buggy which starts off as one-person, but you can add adapters that turn it into a double. This can include an additional seat or carrycot in front, or the children can be seated side-byside. This versatile tandem is the most popular of our home testers because it is easy to maneuver and comes with a large basket for shopping that is accessible from both seats when in the parent-facing position. Its extremely light weight (about the same as some single pushchairs) makes it a breeze to move. Reversible seats mean you can flip them to face either direction and the clever method by which it connects a second seat or riding board to the rear is praised by many. Parents also appreciated the fact that it could accommodate infant car seats and carriers from multiple brands, including some which aren't usually fit in other double buggies.
