Path of Exile item upgrade Upgrades

item upgrades (click now) are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade equipment due to their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a form of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the stats of the item they're connected to. Armor upgrades are available in the world of games and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using a professional or higher salvage kit to salvage upgrades from the items.

The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon can absorb depends on the degree of upgrades. The damage absorption of a piece armor will increase when it is upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it should be heavier.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game, and they all have distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor a greater number of health points, while others make it more powerful and lighter. The kind of armor upgrade an item can get will be indicated by the name of the upgrade as illustrated in the table below.

Weapons

The Jeweler can craft all kinds of gems, except for the rare and legendary ones which you must be at certain levels to gain. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels are able to be swapped with another jewel of the same kind without damaging it. However, you can only replace one jewel in an item upgrader mod of equipment only once.

The use of more jewels in a move will make it more smooth and is typically done to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. In addition to enhancing performance, the jewels create an area that is stronger than metal, so repeated friction with pivots doesn't cause damage as easily.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These glyphs offer a small boost in power and can be traded, but they are not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold, and also scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out, which returns them to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits or aegis can't be exchanged and can only be retrieved by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage.

Trinkets

Trinkets are pieces of equipment that provide many tiny but valuable advantages to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the starter areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, or by performing road interactions. They can also be crafted by jewelers, and found or purchased at the Trading Post.

The first trinket that a player can unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but beneficial boost in speed of movement and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire necklaces, rings, and amulets in a similar fashion as they did with weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has a slot for an upgrade that is either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.

These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't in combat. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active and also helps fill in the void of a solid team or any slots in the talent tree that normally are filled with the hero's ideal stats.

As a rule, trinket upgrades should prioritize BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) items that you will not replace soon. Next, any items with desirable statistics that aren't as important as the iLevel of the item upgrader kit that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, as it's usually better to upgrade just one crucial stat than two subpar ones.
