It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective however it's something you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the Robot vacuums that mop or run the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic hoovers vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets caught in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.
