If you're on a budget and don't want a single stroller pushchair that can double into car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The frame's weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light that it is able to be lifted from the box with one hand.

The hood, as an example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It's also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for longer excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely after folding. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, which means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. All of the components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features that we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of single pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until 3.5-years-old. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them move and it performed well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-made. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does have a large basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be linked with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It's a frame made of aluminum that will see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It's got a few stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat between parent and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with an integrated suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam, which reduces punctures. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and comes with a fantastic dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face each other or can rotate around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling disputes over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also comes with a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

It's easy to fold and put together within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
