In our tests the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin which removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After connecting, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom."
