Lightest Double Stroller

When searching for a lightweight double stroller weight and fold size are key factors to consider. When you are not using it, select a stroller that is easy to handle and compact. This will make it easier to store in your car trunk and to navigate through airport gates and foreign roads.

The best lightweight strollers feature a light, intuitive fold and self-standing mechanism that helps lessen the burden on parents' bodies. Many strollers have various seating options and some are able to accommodate infant car seats.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

Designed for families on moving. Compact and light weight, it has the ability to fold in one hand. The all-terrain wheels and front suspension as well as the multi-position reclining seat, allow for children to weigh up to 50 pounds. Parent and child trays, large storage basket and three-tier canopy with windows that peek out to maximize sun protection.

The Cloud was awarded one of the lowest marks in our quality tests due to the fact that it has a weak, hard plastic seat and a design that is dated. It is also more expensive than other strollers with a lighter weight. This is a bad choice for those looking for a budget option.

While it's not the most light stokke double stroller stroller, it does have enough features worth considering. The low handle of the Cloud is a drawback however, as it's at knee height and not adjustable. It's not easy to push it while your legs hang in this manner. And the lack of padding makes it even more difficult.

In our tests, we discovered that the Cloud was easy to set up and use. It's a little more difficult to close the cloud, however. You have to slide a slider before you pull a big white button to get it to collapse. This can be frustrating especially if you're trying to manage kids while doing it.

The Cloud comes with a small but spacious storage basket. It's large enough to accommodate an enormous diaper bag. The basket is narrow and you may have to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud comes with an adult tray and a child tray each with two cup holders. Both are too narrow for larger bottles or cups.

The Kolcraft brand has been in operation since 1946 and is a third generation, family-owned company. Their first products were diapers and crib pads and now they manufacture an array of baby items including highchairs as well as strollers, infant car seats and toys. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is a fairly barebones lightweight double stroller that's great for traveling. It's extremely light at 18 lbs (lighter than some single strollers!) It folds flat, making it easy to carry and store. It also comes with independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors that have peekaboo windows and extra-large under-seat storage bags. The swivel wheels on the Jeep are also fantastic to maneuver over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats so your kids should be at least 6+ months old and have solid neck control to be able to ride in the front seat. It does have an attractive, three-panel sun canopy, though each seat comes with its own snack tray and cup holders for parents.

Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is yet another extremely light stroller that can be used side by side. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's amazingly slim and narrow (26.5 inches wide!) and comes with a lot of luxurious details that make it perfect for travel. It's a simple fold, is very movable and can fit in trunks and overhead compartments of airplanes easily.

Like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold, ultralight double stroller. It is similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but it has a few distinct distinctions. It's also a little more expensive, but it offers better maneuverability and has the largest sun canopy. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can accommodate children up to 44 pounds per seat.

Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+

Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a lightweight twin stroller packed with features. It is not only incredibly lightweight, weighing just 13 pounds but also has plenty of storage, including child and parent cupholders as well as a sippy-cup pouch for children and a parent's storage pouch and more. This stroller is also able to fit a child's car seat and has an easy-to-engage brake that can be used flip-flop. It's designed to evolve with your children from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and older.

The stroller is light enough to easily navigate through door frames, which was a big issue for us with other models in our testing. It folds easily, and its handlebars are close to the ground, making it easy transportation. The only drawback is its limited storage space, which feels cramped when full of kid stuff.
