Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

While robots can't substitute for a conventional automated vacuum cleaner in picking up ground-in debris such as metal screws and chunks of orzo pasta, they're great at sweeping crumbs, dust and hair from pets. The most effective models come with smart navigation technology and a feature to avoid objects that help them maneuver around cords, toys and other obstacles in the household.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot robotic vacuum cleaner commercial with many smart vacuum cleaner features that make it easier to maintain. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most efficient features we've seen in an iRobot and it's compatible with hard floors as well as carpets. The app will guide you through the entire process. It's also simple to use and set up. Its ability to restart where it left off in our tests is an additional impressive feature. It was able to do this for 77 minutes on one cleaning, before the battery was exhausted.

The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums we have tested, comes with a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris into an external dirt container on its charging base once it is fully filled. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L that is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.

The i3+ EVO, just like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It can also allow you to navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not for the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris compared to some other robovacs that we have reviewed, but it is not the best at cleaning edges and corners. It is also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It pulled chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and became stuck on cords and toys during our testing.

2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or are just beginning to get started. It packs powerful power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a sleek design at a price that is affordable. It's the best robovac pound-for-pound model on sale right now and even beats some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways.

This robot is fantastic at cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology helps it steer away from furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets the highest score on our tests on navigation. The only issue is that it's noisier than other models, and doesn't perform better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin of 770ml which means you don't have to empty it as frequently as some other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also a lot when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots we tested. The iMop excelled in our assessment of the effectiveness of navigation and coverage and was also good at getting around obstacles, such as furniture. It also finds its way to the base station in case it is unable to recharge its batteries during an exercise of cleaning.

The spot cleaning mode lets you to clean a particular space on your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a particular path. This is great if you have narrow stairs or hallways. It was capable of cleaning carpets during our carpet cleaning review, but it struggled with higher pile carpets and carpets.
