WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrader mod by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item upgrades used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display a preview of an Item Level Upgrade's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item upgrader kit is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one usage and it's crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
