Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum is able to keep the floors clean enough to cut down on the frequency you have to manually vacuum. Find one that has excellent navigation, is able to clean corners and stairs and has a huge dust bin that needs emptying only every few times.

You can also find models that clean and charge themselves which can be beneficial for those with pets or children. Many of the top performers in our tests also have decent obstacle avoidance.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling, the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. This makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for an entirely automated vacuum cleaner, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it is full.

Both robots do well cleaning up surface debris from carpets and hard floors, and they're excellent at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It may get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it might come across. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is empty it will return to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 automatic floor cleaner plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or via the app.

In our testing, the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our top choice, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though, is its self cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying dustbin which removes a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the Robot Vacuum Cleaner Cheap (https://Yogicentral.science/) to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and sweep the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected to these services, we were able communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households however, it can also fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, where you can wave it around like a magic tool.

The V10 is powered with a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filtration system captures allergens and expels clean air back into your home. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives bristles of nylon that are stiff and deep into carpet to collect large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task at hand. It is able to quickly switch from handheld to floor vacuum and vice versa.

The model comes with an attached dock that charges the Dyson to 100 percent within 3.5 hours. It also provides easy access to 2 attachments as well as the handheld. This is a major improvement over previous Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. The tests conducted by CR show that its advertising claims of up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a common battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is enough time to sweep the typical home, but not enough to reach every area. (A second time is usually sufficient). That's not to say this model doesn't have its benefits: It's lighter and maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming efficiency is superior on carpets with a low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to invest in a robot. It was able to remove all kinds of debris and sizes during our tests and would often go over the same area many times for an efficient clean. Its flat front allows it to reach corners and edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 because it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs and has more advanced automation abilities and is able to better navigate its own. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.

The RoboVac X8 is a slick RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, because it has a longer battery life, has the ability to alter its suction power mode on its own and comes with physical boundary strips, and can be operated by your phone's voice assistant. It's also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on low-pile and bare floors.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a name that is found on all kinds of home electronics It's no surprise that they're also one of the most reputable mop and robot vacuum manufacturers. Jet Bot AI+ has the most advanced onboard technology to navigate and avoid obstacles.

The app offers a wide range of options for customizing your robotic cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior modifications docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to navigate and use, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than the other models we tried and could be a deal-breaker for some buyers.

The app lets you access the camera onboard of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's cleaning area. This feature lets you check in on your pets or children while you are away. The filter and the dust bin can be cleaned to make cleanup quick and easy. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with self-emptying clean stations, which helps keep the robot's bin clear and maximizes suction power.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Black and Decker robots have been designed specifically for flooring made of hard wood. The robots come with an extra wide cleaning path, and a dustbin that is 2X bigger than the competitors. This allows them to clean the area for a longer period of time. Additionally, they come with two side sweepers that clean up around edges and in corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model also comes with AutoSense technology, which detects if it's picking up surface litter or embedded dirt and automatically adjusts the power level. It also includes a smart application that lets you view the virtual map and control the functions and schedules. Plus, you can monitor the vacuum's battery status and return it to its dock to charge by pressing one button. The app also lets you to personalize the LED lights on the top of the vacuum by using different colors so you can easily identify what areas it's focusing on or where it's stuck.

The app allows you to steer the bagless robot vacuum manually, if necessary. For example, my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that can trip up some of the other robots I've tried. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a daily cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
