World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade item component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following an update.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Glyphs

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrader mod upgrades. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits the water. All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item upgrader mod definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
