WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade items increases the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor.
